UniProt is a comprehensive, expert-led, publicly available database of protein sequence, function and variation information. It also encompasses a wealth of large-scale proteomics data, resources and tools that users from the proteomics community can benefit from. This webinar will introduce proteomics data in UniProt and highlight resources that users with large protein datasets may find useful in analysing their data. This will encompass our proteomes service, how to carry out a peptide search and where to find large scale proteomics-derived data in UniProt. The webinar will then go on to briefly introduce programmatic access to the UniProt Proteins API and will give examples on how to download reference proteomes, and download large-scale proteomics datasets programmatically. Finally the speakers will take live questions from the audience.Attendees will have access to a Google Colab workbook following the webinar which will provide coding examples that they can use in their own analysis pipelines. The UniProt APIs are available at: https://www.uniprot.org/help/programmatic_access
