Research Data Management -course

This self-study course provides the basics of research data management. We focus on researcher's perspective and aim to introduce the topics, tools and resources available at each phase. The purpose of data management is to ensure that the risks associated with research data are avoided and that the data is used ethically, securely and effectively both during and after the research project.

Prerequisites:

It is useful to have a basic understanding of research and research process, but otherwise this course does not have any prerequisites. It's time to learn the basics of research data management!

You can describe what a Data Management Plan (DMP) is and locate tools that are available for creating a DMP.
You can describe what data documentation means and identify documentation and data organizations ways that suit your project needs.
You can locate suitable services for analyzing, computing and storing research data during your project.
You can locate trusted services for publishing research data and data discovery services.
You can list factors which should be taken into consideration when sharing data.
