CIIMAR will host “Ready for BioData Management: Intensive Course” in July

On the 3rd and 4th of July 2025, CIIMAR – Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research will host the “Ready for BioData Management: Intensive Course”, a two-day hands-on training event organised by BioData.pt, and supported by GLIM-BioData RDM Centre. This intensive course is designed to provide life sciences researchers with a comprehensive introduction to Research Data Management (RDM) across the entire data lifecycle. Through a mix of theoretical content, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants will engage with tools such as Galaxy, Dataverse, and the Data Stewardship Wizard (DSW).

The course is aimed at researchers, PhD students, postdocs, and lab managers working with biomedical or life sciences data. No prior experience in RDM is required, although participants should have some familiarity with handling research data. Training will be delivered by experts from BioData.pt using resources from the ELIXIR RDMkit.
