Improve theoretical knowledge in flow cytometry to assist with planning and running your own experiment

Learning Outcomes:
Gain an understanding of how fluorochromes behave and considerations when planning a multicolour panel experiment
Understand the importance of controls and how compensation works
Understand how a cytometer works
Gain confidence to diagnose problems and how to remedy them
Develop knowledge of what CS&T and accudrop beads do
Have broadened understanding of important considerations for single cell sorting
Have the opportunity to discuss your experimental planning with experienced cytometrists
Depending on applicants’ interests, there may be time to cover additional topics of common interest, for example cell sorting experiments, so please highlight these in your application.
