Organizer: University of Cambridge
Host institution: University of Cambridge Bioinformatics Training
Start: Thursday, 15 February 2018 @ 13:30
End: Thursday, 15 February 2018 @ 17:30
Venue: Craik-Marshall Building
Country: United Kingdom
Postcode: CB2 3AR
Scientific topic: Whole genome sequencing, BioinformaticsTarget audience:
- This workshop is aimed at those who want to explore genetic variation data.
- Graduate students
- Postdocs and Staff members from the University of Cambridge
- Institutions and other external Institutions or individuals
This interactive workshop offers participants hands-on experience in the use of the Ensembl VEP to annotate genetic variants with the effects they have on Ensembl genes, and the known information about co-located variants. We will also look at known genes and variants, including the types of data available and where they come from.
Also note: This event is part of a series of short introductions focusing on EMBL-EBI resources. If you want to learn more about these separate training events, see the [[#Related|Related Courses]] section below.
