    20 - 21 March 2017

    Antwerpen, Belgium

    Elixir node event
Revolutionizing Next-Generation Sequencing (2nd edition) https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/revolutionizing-next-generation-sequencing-2nd-edition Revolutionizing Next-Generation Sequencing (2nd edition) A VIB Tools & Technologies Conference Enabled by better cost-performance curves and novel technology developments, Next-Generation Sequencing technologies keep on pushing the boundaries of our scientific knowledge. The NGS-field is still expanding and to take advantage of new opportunities offered by these technologies in life sciences, VIB Conferences will host the second edition of Revolutionizing Next-Generation Sequencing: Tools and Technologies. After a sold-out 2015 edition, RNGS17 will look at emerging tools and approaches for: Large-scale Sequencing Applications for Current and Emerging Next-Generation Sequencing Platforms Single-Cell Genomics Epigenetics Next-gen Transcriptomics technologies Ultra-long reads and Assembly Computational genomics and data analysis In addition to a great scientific and technology program, the conference will provide ample opportunities to network during the breaks, poster sessions, the conference dinner and our ‘Meet the Expert’ session! You can find more info about the sold out first edition in our event archive. 2017-03-20 08:45:00 UTC 2017-03-21 17:45:00 UTC VIB Conferences Koningin Astridplein 20, 20, Koningin Astridplein, Antwerpen, Belgium Koningin Astridplein 20, 20, Koningin Astridplein Antwerpen Anwerpen Belgium 2018 Epigenomics VIB www.vibconferences.be conferences@vib.be Bluebee Covaris Perkin Elmer SeqLL BD Bioké Diagenode Labcyte Multiplicom Takara Westburg To see all our sponsors please visit www.vibconferences.be PhD'sAcademicsPost-DocsIndustry meetings_and_conferences first_come_first_served Structural genomicsPreclinical and clinical studiesclinical sequencingPopulation geneticsSingle Cell GenomicsDNA-seqSequencingApplied NGSEpigenomicsGenome structureGenome MappingTranscriptomicsData Analysis
  • Population genomics: Background, tools and programming

    1 - 8 April 2020

    Procida, Italy

Population genomics: Background, tools and programming https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/population-genomics-background-tools-and-programming-0e44cebb-4ef0-4f06-b9f4-f512f0bef569 This EMBO Practical Course will cover coalescent theory, the effect of demography in space and time, genetic clustering, the detection and quantification of admixture and selection. Lectures on these topics will be complemented by hands-on computer practicals introducing a wide range of software packages, both in R and Python. This course is aimed at evolutionary biologists who already have basic bioinformatics skills. The main criterion for selection will be how much a candidate can benefit from the course. 2020-04-01 13:00:00 UTC 2020-04-08 15:30:00 UTC EMBO Via Principessa Margherita, 46, Procida, Italy Via Principessa Margherita, 46 Procida Città Metropolitana di Napoli Italy 80079 Population genomics [] embo.popgen.2020@gmail.com [] Evolutionary BiologistsPhD studentsPost-Docs workshops_and_courses [] Population GenomicsGenetic DiversityGWASPopulation geneticsgenetic clustering
  • Metagenomics Analysis using Galaxy

    11 August 2020

Metagenomics Analysis using Galaxy https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/genome-assembly-using-galaxy-bfd44b56-d4a3-4863-a62b-e7656374a9a9 This workshop will cover the concepts of 16S bacterial metagenomics analysis. You will learn about pre-processing and quality -filtering of your data, assembly of reads into Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs), and visualisation and export of data for further analysis. 2020-08-11 09:00:00 UTC 2020-08-11 17:00:00 UTC QCIF Online workshop delivered via Zoom, N/A, Australia Online workshop delivered via Zoom N/A Queensland Australia N/A QCIF Mark Crowe - mark.crowe@qcif.edu.au [] Postgraduate studentsPostdoctoral researchers workshops_and_courses first_come_first_served MetagenomicsGalaxyBioinformatics
