EMBL-ABR Training Day: CyVerse
11 April 2016
Melbourne, AustraliaEMBL-ABR Training Day: CyVerse https://www.embl-abr.org.au/embl-abr-training-day-cyverse/ https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/embl-abr-training-day-cyverse Through several hands-on demos and guided exercises, workshop participants will get a comprehensive look at CyVerse tools and services for large-scale data analysis. Use cases will draw on topics in genomics (including RNA-Seq, assembly, annotation, etc.) and lectures on theory will help you to plan, build, and critique your own experiments. 2016-04-11 09:00:00 UTC 2016-04-11 00:00:00 UTC VLSCI - University of Melbourne VLSCI, Melbourne, Australia VLSCI Melbourne Australia Data architecture, analysis and design Computational biology Data management Data submission, annotation and curation workshops_and_courses ABRBPABioinformatics
EMBL-ABR/GOBLET Hands-on training: RNA-seq data analysis
14 - 15 November 2016
Melbourne, AustraliaEMBL-ABR/GOBLET Hands-on training: RNA-seq data analysis https://www.embl-abr.org.au/gobletnov2016/ https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/embl-abr-goblet-hands-on-training-rna-seq-data-analysis A one and a half days workshop that covers hands-on introduction to RNA-seq data analysis. The attendees would learn about the theory, tools and file formats involved right from raw RNA sequence to differentially expressed genes. The workshop would have alternating short lectures and hands-on exercises. 2016-11-14 09:00:00 UTC 2016-11-15 00:00:00 UTC VLSCI - University of Melbourne LAB-14, Melbourne, Australia LAB-14 Melbourne Australia Data architecture, analysis and design Data management Computational biology Bioinformatics RNA-Seq meetings_and_conferences ABRVLSCIBioinformaticslifescience
Introduction to ChIP-seq Data Analysis and Visualisation using Ensembl
22 - 23 November 2016
Edinburgh, United KingdomIntroduction to ChIP-seq Data Analysis and Visualisation using Ensembl http://genomics.ed.ac.uk/services/introduction-chip-seq-data-analysis-and-visualisation-using-ensembl https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/introduction-to-chip-seq-data-analysis-and-visualisation-using-ensembl ChIP-seq (Chromatin ImmunoPrecipitation followed by Sequencing) is a popular high-throughput sequencing assay to identify binding sites of DNA-associated proteins and histone modifications. Determining how proteins interact with DNA and the epigenetic landscape is essential for elucidating the regulation of gene expression. The aim of this workshop is to familiarise the participants with the primary analysis of ChIP-seq data sets by providing a balanced set of lectures and practicals on analysis methodologies. Practicals include publicly available ChIP-seq datasets, processed using widely used and open-source software programs (e.g. FASTQC, BWA, samtools, bedtools, wiggletools, MACS2, MEME, TOMTOM, ngsplot) and visualised on the Ensembl genome browser. 2016-11-22 00:00:00 UTC 2016-11-23 00:00:00 UTC Edinburgh Genomics The King's Buildings, The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom The King's Buildings, The University of Edinburgh Edinburgh United Kingdom ChIP-seq Bioinformatics workshops_and_courses BioinformaticsChIP-seq
