    Data Interpretation and Reporting with R https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/data-interpretation-and-reporting-with-r This hands-on workshop will introduce users of the R software environment to the techniques involved in generating reproducible, dynamic data analyses and reports. Using literate programming approaches, participants will learn to build automated reusable reports in R. Practical exercises will include integration and manipulation of datasets, generation of summary statistics about a dataset, and how to produce high-quality tables and charts. Recommended participants Biologists and bioinformaticians wishing to structure and interpret data and generate dynamic reports using R. Prior expertise with R and the command line interface is required, to a level equivalent of that provided by the QFAB workshop “Introduction to R”. What will I learn? Practical exercises will include quality control and normalisation of data for differential gene expression, and linking genomic information to external public datasets. Recommended participants Biologists and bioinformaticians wishing to use R for RNA expression analysis. Prior expertise with R and the command line interface is required, to a level equivalent of that provided by the QFAB workshop “Introduction to R”. What will I learn? The workshops are primarily aimed at students, postdocs and early-mid career researchers, but are open to everybody from our College. This workshop is for novices and doesn't require any prior knowledge in Python, Git or Shell. The cost is $90 AUD to cover lunches and teas. It possible to pay with the GLC or bank transfer.     HANDS-ON WORKSHOP: BIOCONDUCTOR / SHINY FOR GENOMIC ANALYSIS https://tess.elixir-europe.org/events/hands-on-workshop-bioconductor-shiny-for-genomic-analysis The Bioconductor project (http://bioconductor.org) is a widely used collection of over 1,200 R packages for high-throughput genomic analysis. This workshop introduces established and new Bioconductor packages and workflows for analyzing high-throughput sequence data. The Shiny (http://shiny.rstudio.com) library and web server make it possible to create an interactive interface to R code and graphics. In the second part of this workshop, participants will write a simple genome browser using Shiny.
